If you are donating personally:

If you are paying Tax at 20 %(  Basic Rate)

For example if you pay tax at the basic rate of 20% and donate £20 to us, just click on the Gift Aid button and it means that your £20 is now £25 pounds to our charity!

If you are paying Tax at 40% (Higher Rate)

If you pay tax at the higher rate of 40% and donate £20 to our charity, clicking Gift Aid means your £20 is still £25 to our charity but it costs you £15. You are able to reclaim a further £5 tax relief on your £20 through your PAYE Coding Notice or Self Assessment Tax Return. Therefore your net payment to you is £15 and our charity receives £25.

If your company is donating

Your limited company pays less Corporation Tax when it makes a donation to us. You can claim tax relief by deducting the value of your donations from your total business profits before you pay tax.

If If your company made a donation to charity of £5,000, the saving in corporation tax would be £950 (£5,000 x 19%).
