Sessional Youth Workers
Salary: £8.56 to £9.65 p.h (£15,360 – £17,563)
Status: Varied hours (mostly evenings and weekends).

Location: Various locations throughout South Lanarkshire
We require multiple Youth Group Workers, on a part-time basis, to develop and deliver youth activities including educational and vocational programmes across South Lanarkshire for young people aged predominately 10 – 21yrs with some targeted provision for 8 and 9yr olds.
You should have a genuine interest in working with young people, excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with young people, staff and the local community.  Any specialist skills in sport, ICT/multimedia, technology, music and arts would be welcomed.
You will introduce, enthuse and motivate young people to participate in positive leisure time activities, pursue opportunities that can lead to young people being empowered.

Youth Support Worker (THE STREET)
Salary:  £24,388 pro rata
Salary info: Fixed Term 2yrs. 30hrs per week
Status: Part time (You must be available Mon & Thurs evenings).

Location: Larkhall/Hamilton – throughout South Lanarkshire
We require a dynamic and driven individual to take up the post of Youth Support Worker for our acclaimed and award winning project The Street. The Street uses immersive theatre and intensive workshops to raise young people’s awareness and provide consequential learning.
Cast & Crew perform live twice weekly from October to March. The post holder will work with them to explore issues they would like to tackle through live performances and deliver to their peers
The post holder will lead on recruiting targeted young people who are hard to engage and may be experiencing multiple challenges in their lives. You key role will be to provide groupwork and 1:1 support for the young people 14yrs plus recruited to the programme; co-ordninate the small staff team and network with partners. We need someone special who can take the project to the next level.
The successful applicant will need a strong proven track record in assisting young people into positive destinations. The person needs to be dedicated to making a difference to young peoples through outcome focused interventions and have a suitable qualification in youth work.
